Floating around the interwebs was the tag #100happydays it was all over people’s instagram photos and I was so intrigued by it as I always love to try a good photo challenge.
Upon looking it up I found out it was an actual photo challenge for which you could sign up for! (http://100happydays.com/) and I became incredibly terrified by the accountability and statistics of this challenge. But, we all need to find some happy in our lives right? So on February 13th, I decided I was going to pursue this and NOT fail. I’m now just about 60 days in and haven’t missed a day. I’ve also realized that some days there is an incredible amount of happy in my life (wanting to post two or three, sometimes even four pictures, but I had already posted for that day) and some days it seems like there is none, but if you search really hard you can always find some happy.
I’m learning a lot about our life and what makes me happy, and I’m so happy to share some of that with you. Here’s the past two months of my 100 happy days challenge, follow me on instagram for the rest. Maybe even sign up yourself? Let me know in the comments if you do, I want to follow yours too!
Winter brings cold days, beautiful mornings, and even more reasons to stay cuddled together until May. When Alex and Evan suggested a morning winter engagement session, we couldn’t be happier because morning light is probably one of my favorites. And in the winter the added bonus of NO ONE being around, makes all that lovey dovey stuff we make them do perfect!
So we headed off to Victoria park for some mid morning ice skating, a little hockey brawl, and a snow fight. How much more adorable does it get then these two. Outfits perfectly planned, and even showing a little roughrider pride off to keep the ears warm. These two are so cute, we cannot wait for their wedding in June!
So sit back with a cup of something warm, and just imagine how cold we were that February morning. You can’t even tell!
Winter has been here since Early November, (and it finally seems to be going away) but lucky for us, no matter how cold it gets here our couples are always willing to brave it for some wintery fun with engagement photos.
Francine and Edward are as sweet as can be. They were so willing to be cuddled close together (not just because it was cold and rainy I’m sure!) And we always love to see the looks in our couples eyes as they venture out on an engagement shoot. We were even lucky and got a rare winter rainbow!! (And just a hint of late afternoon sun)
We can’t wait to be a part of their summer wedding, the plans they were telling us about already sound stunning. And I’m sure it’ll be much warmer for us then!
