Promotional Videos | Sherwood Park Videography

When I first dipped into the world of videography I was so intrigued of course by weddings, but also by promotional videos for companies and other photographers around Edmonton and area.

I was lucky enough to start with my sister in law’s company and a fantastic boudoir photographer to get my feet wet and then this past summer I have had the chance to do even more for some local photographers!

But what is a promo video?

A promotional video is a 1-2 minute video that a business can use pretty much however they want. Sharing on Facebook, using as an ad, or as part of their website!

Did you know that youtube and videos are now one of the top ways people search for things, check out products, and videos are the top shared posts on all social media? Well it’s true, don’t you love watching a video instead of reading a blog post (you’re probably not even reading this right now, I bet you skipped right to the videos! If you did read it though, leave some comments about what types of videos you love.. then I know who’s still reading :) )

So far, i LOVE promotional videos. They are fun to do, require lots of brainstorming and meeting great companies. I hope to do many more in the coming year.

For now, here’s Natalie D’Aoust Photography and her baby-riffic video about her newborn studio in Sherwood Park

Brett + Claudia Wedding Day Video | Edmonton Wedding Videographer

Last year I posted about my Adventures into Video and you may have seen a few videos floating around our Eee and Bee blog and page. Well, we’re into a full swing wedding season here with not just photos!! This year I welcomed 3 lovely couples into my video side of our business and I have to say I’m quite liking this little endeavour.

To kick off the wedding season, it began with a video. Super nervous and 6 months pregnant I headed out on my own to be a part of Claudia and Brett’s big day. And what an awesome day it was!

Brett + Claudia are two of the nicest people you’ll come across and their day was so stunning. We began at the Matrix Hotel and eventually made our way to the gorgeous Art Gallery of Alberta for a perfect ceremony, complete with their own super sweet vows. And a Batman themed reception. Picture the chicest Batman theme ever full of old school blue’s and yellows. Omigosh I couldn’t stop bragging to Bee how awesome this theme was, only to find out how completely in love with all things Batman Claudia is, it made it so perfect.

Enjoy this super day through Brett + Claudia’s highlight.

Kimberly + Matthew | Edmonton Wedding Videography

As you now know, I’ve been not only just tinkering with videography, but took on 3 weddings this year all by myself. That’s right, no Bee by my side. It was the strangest thing, especially since wedding video is a whole different beast than photos. But even though I was all alone, I couldn’t be happier with this new side of the business. Weddings are such a beautiful and lovely thing that we get to be a part of as photographers, but I have always thought that videos are an equally beautiful way to capture memories that you can never have back again.

Kimberly and Matthew were absolutely the greatest couple to start on my wedding video journey with. Way back in the beginning of 2014, we met at the Swept Bridal Show and in passing it was mentioned they were hoping to have a videographer. Well, I sheepishly muttered “I’m new, but I could do it” and not a month later they welcomed me to their wedding team. And what a fantastic wedding team it was!

Vendors whose work I follow constantly I got to stand alongside and capture their gorgeous day. It was intimidating, nerve wracking, but terribly exciting all at once and Kimberly and Matthew, well they are just the kindest people to have my little old self there and so gracious for my work it gave me the biggest smile all day long and for many days after. Plus, their love was so full it made my heart so happy.
