Sara and Jon have the kind of love that burst through the lens on their engagement session and then again throughout their entire wedding day. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gone through these images just to look at them and smile to myself about how amazing of a couple they are. Their wedding day couldn’t have been more perfect in style and in the summery may day we ended up with. We met the stunning bride getting ready at the Union Bank Inn and there was so much excitment in the air I’m pretty sure we each said “Today is going to be the most exciting wedding ever!” about five times, and it was an amazing wedding day! Her handsome groom awaited her for their super sweet ceremony, complete with extra personal vows that had everyone in tears (even me, of course!) and walked away as Mr and Mrs with a little help from the Star Wars soundtrack to add to their May the Fourth wedding day. Giggles were had by all!
They had a set of stunning friends helping us all day and I have to say it made our time spent photographing them around Whyte Ave and Sherwood Park even more fun because of their lovely crew!
They started out seven years ago as probably the most adorable high school sweethearts and they clearly have a love that will last a lifetime.
There is always that moment of the bride seeing herself for the very first time with everything put together. It’s one of my absolute favorite moments when I was a bride and now as a photographer. It’s a beautiful moment because everyone in the room is staring at her beauty and Sara made it so complete, when she saw herself she was so excited and screamed out in the cutest way possible “OH MY GOD I’M BEAUTIFUL!” Loved it!
