Archive for September, 2011
We’ve been really busy over the month of September and with our own non-photography lives seeping in and taking over we’ve been madly trying to catch up on emails, editing, we even attended a workshop! (Yes we are crazy, but love to be busy.) For now, before we forget we want to tease you with a few photos. This is what’s coming up on the blog this weekend!
Baby Lydia, fellow photographer Miranda (more about her and her blooming business in the blog post, stay tuned) and before a new baby comes to our family, a maternity shoot for Crystal, Greg, and Dexter.
You may remember we photographed Binh’s grad way back in June. That was so much fun that we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to photograph a few of the families of those lovely grads. We have a few more of them coming up this month!
On such a beautiful fall day (and there have been a lot of them this year) we were lucky enough to have a lot of fun with this great family! Binh had contacted us to do some family photos as they haven’t had any in so long! It seems that families always forget to get them done and the intention of doing them year after year doesn’t always hold true with a busy and growing family. Also we had a very special reason for this photo shoot. Quyen and Tammy have some amazing kids, as they wanted to do this for them as a present for their wedding anniversary which was the day before our shoot with them! What a perfect gift (at least we think so, but we do love photos.) They wanted everything from fun family photos to portraits to candid shots, which is for sure our style, so we were very excited!
This family was a lot of fun. Right away they were into the posing, all showing off their cool style and having a blast. They made our job so easy as we watched them come up with great ideas and pose perfectly! The trees in the river valley were perfect, we had great weather, and even some random fire trucks in a field which we got to use as a fun prop. (With the promise not to break anything of course.) Thanks Nguyen family, it was a blast, enjoy your photos!
This windy bridge helped with the laughing and turned out some stunning photos!
Double the beautiful! They were such a fun and gorgeous (and handsome for the boys) family!
Remember Norma & Mike, well they had a beautiful little girl at the end of August and we are so excited for them!
It’s been a week of newborn photos it seems and we sure do love it! To start off the two newborn posts we have Madeline Truus (What an amazing middle name, it’s the name of Norma’s grandmother and gives beautiful little Maddie a little bit of Dutch heritage right in her name!) Brilliant and such a lovely choice.) We were so excited to go over and see little Maddie, as she was the first newborn we’ve gotten to photograph and she was a trooper. Bee and I not being parents yet were a little nervous around her, but we quickly warmed up. (And I am pretty typical and just LOVE babies!)
We learned the power of the Nuk, and swaddling, they were like magic for our little model. And we got to be in the presence of two beautiful new parents who were enjoying every minute of it. Thank you Norma and Mike for letting us into your home, showing off your great parenting skills to us, and sharing your beautiful baby girl for a Saturday morning! We had a lot of fun, now here’s the photos…
We loved the Snoopy themed room, so creative and it was such a happy atmosphere! Great job guys!
PS: Part of starting up a business means we have some creative license to change our minds lots right? Well, even if we can’t we did. We scratched the Eee and Bee stamp of approval on the pictures and instead developed a mini stamp to go underneath the photo which we love the most from the shoot. I bet you can guess who’s is who’s. Let us know what you think about that and about Baby Madeline!
