Nash One Year Old Photos — Sherwood Park Family Photographers

Carla contacted us a month ago about doing photography for her soon to be one year old son Nash, we were so excited today to do our first one year old photo shoot! Nash came out to play with his Mom and Dad and despite the cloudy weather everyone has a sunny disposition. It was a lot of fun to celebrate with them and following him around as he played!

There were apparently no cupcakes left from the fun birthday party yesterday to bring with him for some extra fun, but Nash was in great spirits and ready to play! As soon as they pulled up to the park he was all smiles and we were very excited about that. We love watching the wonder of kids exploring something new and we often try to find a park or place they’ve never been so they could do just that! This is one of our favorite family locations as you just don’t see big old wooden parks anymore! Every parent always says ‘wow this is like the park I had when I was younger!’ So even they get to have a bit of fun too.

We had so much fun today we just couldn’t wait to share these photos!

What an overload in cuteness! Thanks Weyland family for the awesome morning and happy first birthday Nash!

Science Graduates — Edmonton Graduation Photographers

The University Convocations came to a close with a group of B.Sci graduands. I was lucky enough to photograph (sans Bee) some of them on yet another rainy Wednesday afternoon at the University of Alberta. We headed out around campus just as the sun began to shine with a group of lab partners who wanted to cherish a few more memories together. This group was a lot of fun and sure knew how to keep the laughs and smiles rolling!

Here are a few of my favorites from the day!

I love these ladies shoes, I just had to get a shot of them! Nice pop to the black gowns.

Congrats ladies! I know you were talking about very amazing and great things that are coming your way next year and I wish you the best of luck!

Congrats to all graduates of 2011 at the University of Alberta!

Jessie&Tim — Edmonton Wedding Photographers

June 11, 2011

Jessie & Tim’s big day had finally arrived and we were so thankful to be a part of it. What an awesome way to spend a Saturday! We were surrounded all day by their families and friends as Jessie & Tim’s day was filled with lots of laughter, love, and a few tears. We arrived extra early at Jessie’s house before the Chinese festivities began! We got to learn new traditions and we had a lot of fun photographing them. Even though it was early morning, the sun was shining and everyone was cheery to be starting the big day.

As the girls got ready on the inside, the boys began to play their games outside! Jessie waited upstairs for about 45 minutes before Tim was finally let in to get her.  This began the morning tea ceremonies which were very emotional and touching for everyone invited.

After the two tea ceremonies, one at Jessie’s parents and the other at Tim’s, we headed to the church ceremony at Robertson-Wesley United church downtown Edmonton. What a gorgeous church! Not one window wasn’t stained glass and the organ made the small church look magnificent.

After the touching ceremony we headed on our way from the crowds to do our fun bridal party photos and it was a perfect afternoon for them. We got bothered by a few mosquitoes and it was a little warm, but there was a nice breeze following us around.

A short break in the afternoon for the bridal party to rest up and then on to the reception. And oh boy, did they have an amazing 10 course meal waiting for their guests. The food and desserts were fantastic, we stuffed ourselves on delicious delicacies, and the cake pops were to die for! The games at the reception were so much fun and the speeches were incredibly touching (even the boys were made to cry)

It was a beautiful day spent with two beautiful people who are happily in love. Congrats and we wish you a fabulous life together Jessie & Tim!

Here are a few of our favorite pictures from the day…
